Father Christmas visits the 2016 Christmas Craft Fair
Latest News: Really well done to one and all as the final total raised has been confirmed as £910.92 – an outstanding effort.
The 2016 Welborne Christmas Craft Fair was another special day for the village. A visit by Father Christmas and the Honingham Bell Ringers group, Bellfolk, added extra interest to an already popular festive day in the Welborne calendar.
Great fun was had by all, with many excited children meeting Santa Clause in Santa’s grotto, which was especially flown over from Lapland for the day!
For some of the first images of the 2016 fair please see our Welborne Christmas Craft Fair Gallery.
A huge vote of thanks must go to all those involved in the event be it helping with pre event planning, crafting days, baking cakes, preparing decorations or crafting items for sale on the day. Congratulations to all.
Come back soon to see how much has been raised for the village hall.
The Welborne Christmas Craft Fair
Early in December is the annual Welborne Christmas Craft Fair. Your chance to get ahead of the game and pick up some homemade Christmas gifts, produce and the all important Christmas wreath!
The first Welborne Christmas Fair was held at the Village Hall on Saturday 30th November 2013, and although it has only been running for three years it has become a regular pre-Christmas event for those looking for Christmas inspiration.
The first Christmas fair, organised by Sharon Ferguson and Jackie Cooper on behalf of the Village Hall events committee, was a great success with contributions from many villagers including; handcrafted Christmas decorations, Christmas cards and calendars. There was also a tombola, homemade cakes & a children’s Pomander making activities, all of which helped to raise the fantastic sum of £621.68 for our Village Hall!!
